About Alan Don

Alan is an ex coffee grower from Central Africa who lost his farm due to violent land invasions and arrived on safe Australian soil in 2001.
On arrival he (and wife Cheryl) created Toowoomba's first coffee roasting company and eventually sold it ten years later at the height of its success.
During those years he was involved in the setting up and management of the following operations :
Extensive coffee roasting for wholesale and retail sales ( using Probat equipment )
Wholesale and retail sales of blends and single origins of Green beans (mainly for home roasters)
Wholesale and Retail coffee equipment (specialising in Expobar and Mazzer)
Designed and presented full day Barista courses (processed 600 students)
Won several medals for coffee at the Golden Bean awards
Built and set up a Mobile coffee cart operation
Managed and owned coffee shops

Trained several apprentices over the years of which some have gone on to own and manage their own coffee roasting and cafe businesses
